Who we are

MMI is the international aid and development organisation of the Sisters of St Joseph. In the spirit of Mary MacKillop, we work in partnership with local communities to enable them to fully participate in society. We work in the areas of education, health and livelihoods.

What we do

We work with local communities throughout Timor-Leste, Peru and Papua New Guinea in the areas of education, health and livelihoods. Our program aspirations are that all members of the community can read and write, enjoy good health and have sustainable livelihoods.

Last year Mary MacKillop International:

Provided literacy training for 281 teachers in Timor-leste .
Distributed over 17,000 Tetun story books
Provided 87 women with livelihood training
